About
"I love what I do. There are no secrets or
shortcuts, just time, experience, a good work ethic, and a lot of hard
work. Doing what you love, is freedom, and loving what you do, is
happiness! To everyone who I am lucky enough to call friend or client,
thank you for being a part of this with me!"
Guilene
Good Times Farm is owned and operated by Guilene
Mallard and Syl DeCample who are both experienced professional horseman.
Guilene personally manages, trains and instructs
at Good Times Farm. Guilene became interested in horses at a very early
age, and had established herself as a successful trainer and exhibitor
of Arabian horses for many years and later branched out to all breeds.
She now teaches Dressage, pleasure/trail riders, and Western. Her
students and she can be seen competing successfully at many shows
regularly in NJ. The horses and students she has trained have gone
on to win many awards and championships at the local and regional
levels.
Syl was a very successful Standardbred
trainer/driver for many years, having garnered many leading trainer
awards as well as driver awards. His eye for lameness, after
years of experience with racehorses, serves the farm well with the
riding horses. While mostly retired and no longer trains a
very large stable, his love of the sport leads him to still races
a couple of horses. His attention to detail is seen in the
immaculate upkeep and improvements at Good Times Farm. He oversees much
of the daily operation.
At Good Times training stable, the emphasis is on
safety and fun, regardless if your goal is to become a proficient
recreational rider or one who aspires to the show ring.
